Water Causes Growth…Arlesia C.

Do you ever work hard for something only for it to seem like nothing will change? Everyday you water the seeds, but yet you still don’t see any growth.  it makes you wonder why did I even bother watering the seeds in the first place?

You feel like giving up. This is never going to change. My hard work is in vain, and nothing is going to work out. I’m done watering the seeds. This will never grow into what I want it to be.

According to yougrowgirl.com, “Water does two things to a seed. First, it activates enzymes that stimulate the release of food energy stored during dormancy. Second, it splits the tough seed coat open so that oxygen gets in. Energy stored in the cotyledon ‘burns’ and is used only in the presence of oxygen, powering the seedling’s cells as they begin to divide and grow. This process is called respiration.”

So although you don’t immediately see the effect the water has on the seed, something is still happening. There is a process taking place.

Look at situations in your life as seeds, and your faith being the water that it needs. Each drop of faith causes more growth. You have to truly believe in your heart that God is the God of everything. He can move mountains and change any situation in your life. Sometimes you just have to press forward. Even when it seems like the end is no where in sight, and the season will never end, you have to keep pressing forward. Keep watering those seeds. Eventually that plant is going to grow. It can’t stay a seed forever. Especially when you are watering it.

Faith is a powerful thing. It is so powerful that Matthew 17:20 says “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

Let your faith water the seeds and situations in your life. Just a little bit of faith can change things around. Believe that God is who he says he is. Believe that God can do what he says he can. I know it’s hard sometimes. Even as I write this to encourage you, I’m actually encouraging myself. I’m telling you what I need to hear.

I hope after reading this you are inspired to keep watering your seeds. I leave you with Hebrews 11:1-6. I encourage you to read all of chapter 11. Very good exapmles of amazing things that occurred all because of people keeping the faith.

Hebrews 11:1-6

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

For by it the elders obtained a good report.

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
