Encouragement in a Discouraging World…Arlesia Cummings

We are living in a day and age where the world is becoming more and more dangerous. Everyday when you turn on the news it’s something more tragic than the day before. Senseless violence has taken way too many lives. Greed and the love of money is destroying this country. The poor are getting poorer and the rich are getting richer. The middle class is vanishing. Morals are going out of the window. If you have morals nowadays you are the odd man out. There are a lot of fake preachers not following or teaching God’s word. They are leading people straight to hell. Racism is is still here, and I doubt that it’s going anywhere. Donald Trump is becoming president….That’s enough to make anyone be scared of out their mind!

 When you think it can’t get any worse…..it does! It’s just a reminder of how busy Satan is. Satan loves conflict and division. He loves death and destruction. As Christians, it’s easy to get caught up in how terrible the world is.

It can be very discouraging, and hard to see God in a world that is so filled with everything but God. We have to remember that no matter how cruel the world continues to be, that we have a father who is still in control. He still sits on the throne, and he is Alpha and Omega. The beginning and the end.

One day this sick and cruel world will be over. There will be no more death. No more evil. No more destruction. No more greed. Until that beautiful day, my message to you is to be encouraged in a worlds that’s discouraging.

I leave you with Ephesians 6:10-18.

 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
